Hometown Handled: Monthly Service Terms

Provider: Jason Howard, doing business as Hometown Handled ("we," "us"). Contact: [email protected] Client: the business that buys a plan ("you"). 1. Plans and what's included

Not included unless we agree in writing: extra pages, online stores, booking systems, logo design, photography, paid ads, guaranteed search rankings, phone support, replies on sites other than Google, and your domain registration fee.

2. Price, billing and taxes

• Plans bill monthly in advance through Stripe, starting on your signup date. There is no setup fee.
• Prices exclude any sales tax that applies, which will be shown at checkout.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will retry. If it's still unpaid after [7] days, we may pause the site and review replies until payment is made.
• We'll give at least 30 days' email notice before any price change.
• [OPTIONAL: Founding-client offer: your first month is free in exchange for permission to use your business name and a short testimonial on our website.]

3. Month-to-month and canceling

• There is no minimum term. Cancel anytime by emailing us or using the Stripe customer billing link in your receipt.
• Cancellation stops future charges. Service continues to the end of the month you've already paid for, and we don't give partial-month refunds.
• After cancellation, we'll send you a copy of your site files (HTML/CSS and your images) if you ask within 30 days. We'll also remove ourselves as a manager from your Google Business Profile, or you can remove us yourself at any time.
• We may end service with 14 days' email notice, or right away for non-payment or a breach of section 5.

4. How we work together (email only)

• All requests, approvals and support happen by email. We don't offer phone support.
• We aim to reply within 1 business day and to finish routine edits within 3 business days.
• Review replies: you give us manager access to your Google Business Profile. We draft replies in a professional voice that follows any rules you give us. Negative reviews (3 stars or fewer) and any review that mentions refunds, injury, damage, legal, health or safety issues are emailed to you for approval before posting. If you don't respond within 3 business days, we leave that review unanswered. We never offer refunds, discounts or admissions of fault on your behalf.
• We use AI tools to help build sites and draft replies. Every reply is checked against your rules before it's posted.

5. Your responsibilities

• Give accurate business information (services, service area, license numbers, hours, prices) and tell us when it changes.
• Make sure you have the rights to any logos, photos or text you send us.
• Don't ask us to post false, misleading or illegal content, fake reviews, or replies that disclose customers' private information.
• You're responsible for your own licensing, advertising claims and compliance with the rules of your trade.

6. Ownership

• You own your business name, domain name, logo, photos and the business content you provide.
• We own our templates, code frameworks and tools. While you're a paying client, and after you cancel for the files we hand over, you get a perpetual license to use the site we built for you.
• Unless you opt out by email, we may list your business name and a link to your site as a client example.

7. Domain and accounts

• Your domain should be registered in your name and paid by you (usually about $11–20 per year). If we register it for you as a courtesy, we'll transfer it to you on request.
• We'll only use your Google Business Profile access to provide the services above.

8. No guarantees, and limits on liability

• We'll do the work with reasonable care and skill. We don't guarantee search rankings, review ratings, leads, sales or uninterrupted uptime. We rely on outside hosts (such as Cloudflare), Google and Stripe.
• To the extent the law allows, our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim, and neither side is liable for indirect or lost-profit damages.
• You agree to cover claims that come from content or instructions you supplied.

9. Privacy

We only use your information, and your customers' public reviews, to provide the service. We don't sell it. Stripe handles card details, and we never see or store your full card number.

10. General

• Laws of Iowa apply. We'll try to resolve any dispute by email first.
• We may update these terms with 30 days' email notice. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the update.
• These terms are the whole agreement for the plans above. If one part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
